Applying for a Grant

In 2003, we changed our grant application process from regular mail to an online system.   This change reduced our turn around time for a grant application from around 9 months to around 9 days.  There are no grant application guidelines.  If an application is longer than one page it likely has too many words.

Taylor Foundation makes grants  to organizations that are tax exempt with a 501 (c) (3) classifications from the Internal Revenue Service.  We do not consider requests from general fund raising organizations such as the United Way, Red Cross, or Heart Association.  We do not consider requests for deficit financing or loans.

How to apply

All grant requests should be submitted by e-mail.    The Board will electronically process your request and usually give you an e-mail reply in a few days.   In most cases, nothing else is involved.   In some cases,  additional information will be required.   By e-mail we will suggest what other information  should be sent to us by e-mail, fax, or regular mail.  Occasionally we may request a meeting or site visit.
